Empty notes are not deleted automatically
Sometimes, I hit CTRL-N to create a new note, then change my mind and hit ESC to cancel. CN will then create a totally empty note.
I suggest deleting those notes automatically.

Not a bug
No character input possible under Wine (Ubuntu)
I can add a note title, tags, and link, but in order to add the note
itself, I have to copy and paste from another application. For some
reason, I can't type my note directly.

Sorry but we don't know how to debug this issue.
Generally CintaNotes is supported only on Windows.
Work under Wine is not supported.

Licensed version is not portable
Currently the license.key file is stored in %APPDATA%, which requires registering CintaNotes on every PC it is used on.
In the portable version, it would be more convenient for the license.key file to be stored near the cintanotes.exe file.

Move is slow on USB Stick
I have a CN database with around 200 records
I normally hold it on a USB Stick
When I move records (ALT and up/down arrow) it is jerky and slow.
When I copy the database to a hard disc and do the same operation is it smooth and quick.
Is that what you would expect?

When I search with some Japanese characters, CN says "No notes" although there are some notes which include the search term.

When the line wraps, text in the new line should appear with indent, e.g.

Inconsistent font in notes with mixed charsets
Hi~
I have a font rendering bugs in 'edit window'. Personally, I usually use Chinese and Korean. But as you can see from the screenshot, even if I customized the 'Text font',
it appears really weird. When characters comes to a different language,
it just changed to a different font for the that language.

Sometimes, my explorer crashes while developing shell extensions.

Wrong note duplicate recognition at import
I export 787 notes via xml and reimported to a fresh database. I receive
a message that there is one duplicate and 787 are imported.
As a test i also import the same original db into the new db. I now have a message that 6 messages are imported and 781 are duplicates.
I had vaccumed the original db before any exporting or importing. I also checked the original db with sql lite administrator and exported the results there to xml and xls. It appears that cinta misses cotitle and c0text field which have the same content.
BTW I had the same problem previously with incorrect duplicates when i amalgated mirroring databases.

Pressing Enter twice doesn't cancel bulleted and numbered lists in editor
when you create a bullet list, each "ENTER" will create a new bullet. Fine. But when pressing "ENTER" twice without entering text this should be treated as an indication to end further bulleting. Instead of creating empty bullets, remove the last unwanted bullet. This comes more handy than double Ctrl+L to stop bulleting.

remove spaces at the end of the line
As a side affect of the auto-indent function extra spaces are added to the end of the line. The bug is, that those spaces will not be removed when editing is finished. The spaces should be removed (a) when the cursor moves to the previous or the next line (respectively the cursor is leaving the line) and (b) when the note is saved.

Wrong wrapping of East-Asian characters in the note preview
Cintanotes doesn't handle word wraps well for East-Asian characters because it treat those characters as consecutive letters for which it should not. For example, for Chinese characters, spaces are mostly not used, so wraps can be anywhere between two characters (better not before a punctuation). When there are no spaces and other English punctuations, everything works great. However, wraps do not look good otherwise. I attach a picture here which could helps us understand well. Thank you.

Exact search implies quotes around the search phrase and doesn't allow searching for multiple words within note. Also it doesn't allow the use of | (OR) and - (NOT) operators.
Suggestion:
"Exact search" should be renamed to "Search inside words" and modified to match multiple words and support search operators.The exact phrase search shoud remain possible with the use of quotes.

Last modification date is not exported (1.5.4)
Reproduce:
1. Create new portable CN 1.5.4 installation
3. Sort by modification date, reverse order
4. Modify the oldest note, so it pops up
5. Export all notes to .xml or .txt
Result: modification date is not saved in exported files, so importing them into a clean CN would lack modification date information.
