Add the ability to clear all filters with a single shortcut. Tag filters and text in the search-field should be cleared. The focus in the notes list should reset too and position on top of the list. I suggest to use the "del" key for simplicity. The key is used to delete a note in the notes list though. Thus to delete a note in the notes list Ctrl+Delete should be used. This would be consistent with deleting a note in the notes editor too.

I suggest to introduce Shift+Alt+Enter to open a note, but remain focus in the main window. That allows for searching/opening other notes that are related to the first note and needed to be edited the same time.

CN has a beautiful and simple GUI. The Link-field is limited to an URL though. Well, you can add any information to it, if you like, but the identifier is still limiting. I suggest to rename the field, e.g. "Comments" or "Remarks". There have been different requests in the past all trying to achieve the same thing; see the following posts Annotations (comments) in notes; User notes; Add Keywords field to the notes; Introducing Keywords, Catchwords; The drawback of these is the need for an additional field. In generalizing the "Link" field to a more flexible "Remarks" field would still allow to insert links and have them opened using the F7-key. But other information could be added to the note too. Still the GUI would not be cluttered. Technically spoken the change in the program would be a simple edit of the language file(s). The only addition to this would be to extend the search to also search "Title, Text and Remarks". The "Remarks" field could also be used to add words to the note, that help on searching, e.g. different spellings, the context why the note was added, personal coherence, annotations. This could all be done without bloating your tag-list or polluting the notes text.Having a separate field also allows to distinguish between clipped text in the notes and your own remarks to it.The remarks-field becomes a note to the notes-text itself.

In the note editor the cursor should reflect which editing-state is active. Right now it is not possible to distinguish, whether overwrite or insert mode is active. Also overwriting should be implemented for title, tags and links.

When sorting for size please show the size of each note in the notes list. This helps for selecting notes, that one might get rid off and keep the database clean.

As with v1.6 it will be possible to export notes to HTML web page. I suggest to add collapsing/expanding of notes [in the generated HTML file - AJ]. (a) All notes and (b) individual notes.

I suggest to add "ctrl+shift+tab" (use shift-combinations for tasks that affect all cn windows) to rotate between all open cintanotes editor-windows. This would really be an easy way to select a desired cn window. Using windows Alt+Tab is just a pain, because it lists all windows. Having the editor-windows filtered using an own shortcut should be a tremendous help, for it can be a tedious task to select a specific window right now. I think the search window itself should not be included for it can be activated any time using the global shortcut. Thus the feature should select editor-windows only. However there is one minor issue with this: First the user must activate a cn window to allow switching for ctrl+shift+tab can not be a global hotkey. Thus i suggest to allow start rotating from the main search window. Now as a user i first open cn using the global shortcut and can then easily rotate between the editor windows.

F3 behaves different in the note list compared to the note editor.

Example:
Do a simple search, e.g. "service" and activate a note using arrow+down. Now press F3, which will highlight and jump to the next found position inside the text. This is true for F3 in the note list and the note editor. That's fine.

Now focus the searchbox using Ctrl+F and search for a second term, e.g. "service windows". It will find and highlight all matches of "service" or "windows" in the note list. You can jump to all matches of either "service" or "windows" using F3 in the note list. Great.

Now open the note editor. The focus is set to the last highlighted match in the note list. Now click F3 again. It will rotate only for the last hit focused in the searchlist. That is either "service" or "windows" only. This is inconsistent and irritating.

1. Add the option to define the order of the fields in the note editor.
2. Add the option to define visibilty for each field of the note editor.

For example i would turn off visibility for "link" and instead use and turn on the (hopefully soon coming) field "remarks". Other people might want to reorder the note text before the note title, when the option "focus text" (editor.focus.title=0) is turned on in the settings file.

As a side affect of the auto-indent function extra spaces are added to the end of the line. The bug is, that those spaces will not be removed when editing is finished. The spaces should be removed (a) when the cursor moves to the previous or the next line (respectively the cursor is leaving the line) and (b) when the note is saved.
