Yet Another Sync Option (Y.A.S.O.) - Opera version. Yes, I do mean the note function built into the Opera browser, accessible through my.opera.com's 'Opera Link'. Before I discovered CintaNotes, that is what I used. Easy, always open, always accessible. Figured it was past time someone suggested it.

Add menu item 'Edit Ext.' , to export selected note contents to user defined editor (such as Sublime Text, WriteMonkey, Notepad ++, Q10, etc). Not intended to replace default editor, or the regular export. Simply a way to streamline the process when you need a little more power.

For handling, I'm thinking that CN could save the note as a temporary text file with a randomly generated name and open it with the external editor. Lock the note but watch the file for changes, so saved data gets imported straight back into CN. When the external editor is closed, import the last changes, delete the file and unlock the note.

Or every note could be backed up with a text file by default, allowing the external editor to reopen the notes directly. And cause incredible bloat...

CintaNotes is light and fast, but lacking portability. Evernote is huge and unwieldy, but well, it's Evernote. Unlike other note takers (like simplenote) you can access it from just about anywhere with just about anything. Even a basic cellphone. Syncing with a specific text only notebook would be just about perfect. Manually Exporting and Importing would be doable, but irritating.

Currently, there is no way to start a manual sort from anything other than chronological arrangement, and there is no way to reset the manual sort once you've started switching things around. I would like there to be a way to start manually sorting from a alphabetical sort, or to refresh the original time sort.

While manual sort's memory can come in handy, sometimes you just want to shuffle notes around, without worrying about making a mess of things. So, I propose that notes should alway be capable of rearrangement, but not remember their position unless put there in manual mode.

I like 'always on top' but it does get in the way sometimes. Some sort of transparency or temporary hide hotkey would be nice.

Self explanatory. Creating a new note should be at the top of the main screen right click list, right above 'browse link'

This would allow individual parts of a note to be shuffled about, moved or copied from one note to another and deleted without leaving the main window. Useful for to-do lists and large projects.

Mouse should be able to move notes in manual sorting mode. First click to select, second click to drag, release to drop between selected notes.

That 'click drag' selection box would be mighty handy for selecting multiple notes at once.
