Grab URL and Window title to store inside notes text
I need a shortcut to grab the url and window/page title of an opened browser page. I store all my urls inside the notes text. Right now i switch to the browser select and copy the url, switch to CN, paste the url to the notes text. I switch back to the browser to select and copy the page title. Switch back to CN and paste it. Thats a costly job to do. It would be much more convenient to have CN to capture the information in a single step.

Obviously this a contrary approach to what CN offers already. CN allows for creating a new note using a system key. But that way for each URL a separate note gets created, which i want to avoid. I want all grabbed links inside a single note.
Thomas, maybe implementing this suggestion would help?

It is similar, but not the same. This request is for pulling infos, the other is pushing infos. Both have there advantages. As i have commented the other request: if it would be smart enough, to detect a browser and automatically copy the URL it would help a lot. But with this request i don't even need to select text! CN should copy the window/page title and the URL in one step. That is even easier than having the need to select text first.
I still don't quite get why you need it as a pull model. You are in the browser, right? You would need to switch to CN, open this note and press the hotkey to grab the URL. Whereas with this you could just press a hotkey, and later just merge all notes with URLs into one.
I don't insist on a pull model. The other request there is similar, but not exactly. The clipping hotkey creates a new note each time it is used. I want to collect a couple of URLs into one single note. I want the URLs collected in the notes text, not the link field. I want to collect the URLs to an existing and opened note or to a new note depending on the situation. Also with each URL i want to copy the title without having to select it first. This all could be done with a push model too. No problem. Merging URLs from different notes is an unnecessary job. That's like merging the URLs from the browser in the first place.
1. The pull model has the advantage, that is does not need a global shortcut, since it is executed inside the notes editor.
2. Grabbing should also work for applications like Thunderbird, that allow reading RSS feeds in a separate window that has a title and an URL, just like any regular browser.
