Tray CN icon disappears after Exporer crash on Win 7 x64

Alex Jenter il y a 14 ans mis à jour il y a 9 ans 10
Sometimes, my explorer crashes while developing shell extensions.
Or I have to kill the task.
Explorer starts again but the tray icon from CN is missing.
Can you react to WM_TASKBARCREATED and add the icon again? (http://cintanotes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=330)

Hey Alex,

I reported the bug in 2009. For me it's still not fixed. Even with version 2.9.3.
Perhaps you can check it again.
CN is currently the only program which doesn't restore the icon when Explorer
gets restarted.
Hi GoD,
Can't reproduce the problem here (on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1), the tray icon correctly reappears after I manually kill and restart explorer.exe from Task Manager.
Could you please tell me which version of Windows you are using now (still Win7?), and detailed steps to reproduce the problem? Thanks!
I can reproduce it with Win 7, Win 8, Win 8.1 and now Win 10 all 64-bit.
I use the portable version of CN.
I do exactly the same. kill and restart explorer from Task Manager.
I did some more tests and now I figured out when this happens.
I happens when you start CN minimized to tray. When you kill explorer and restart it, there is no tray icon.
If you open CN one time before you kill explorer, the icon gets restored.
Still no luck properly reproducing the issue ;(
Does it happen after you start CN manually by clicking its icon, or only when CN autostarts with the system?
Maybe you could send your cintanotes.settings file to support@cintanotes.com? Thanks in advance!
It's strange because I can reproduce it.
I've send you my settings file.
