Copying notes into MS-Word or Outlook leads to ugly formatting

If I copy text from a note (Ctrl+C) into MS-Word 2007 or Outlook it gets an ugly yellow background. If I Ctrl+Shift+C the formatting gets lost.

Can't reproduce this, but I have Word 2010. Can anyone with Word 2007 confirm?
