wrong tab size

Sometimes when I insert tab (Ctrl+Tab) its width is extremely large (8-9 characters instead of 3-4). Looks like it happens more often after bold text but I'm not sure.

btw, how can I change default tab size (somethere in the settings file)?

Right now the tab size is not changeable, sorry. There is however this suggestion on the roadmap: http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/topic/79780-configurable-tab-to-space-autoconversion/
