Add simple status flag icon

I use this wonderfull :D program as a tasklist. I think it would be an improvement if there was a coloured status flag in the header of each note. Something like the flags used by Outlook. You can then easily mark a note and so indicate whether it is ready or not.
I use tags to do this now, but with flags it works faster, only using the mouse.

I think I like the idea to color notes according to their tags more. I also voted for the request to mark some notes with a star. For me this would be enough and I think I don't need some flags too. Sorry for that.

Now that this feature got the status 'planned' I am interested in how this will coexist with the request for colored tags? In Outlook you DON'T have colored flags (at least as far as I know)! You have a red flag icon for tasks and you have colored categories.

If this request was meant to get something like the colored categories in Outlook it would be nearly the same request like the one for the 'colored tags'!?

  • Will we get colored flags AND colored tags?
  • Or will they be the same (just an option to display the 'color' different (as a flag or as a background color)?
  • Will the flag have a connection to the tags or how will I define which status corresponds to which flag?
  • Or will it be just a graphical thing without any additional functionality?

Thanks

Chris

>Will we get colored flags AND colored tags?
No

>Or will they be the same
Maybe. something like an option "display this tag as flag" or "display this tag as a checkbox"

>Will the flag have a connection to the tags
It will.

>how will I define which status corresponds to which flag
In the tag's properties

> will it be just a graphical thing without any additional functionality
At least it will support some extra control elements in the note's preview, like a checkbox
