I still don't quite get why you need it as a pull model. You are in the browser, right? You would need to switch to CN, open this note and press the hotkey to grab the URL. Whereas with this you could just press a hotkey, and later just merge all notes with URLs into one.

The votes are not good, although I agree that this is a good idea. I suggest you reformulate it with a clearer heading and much shorter text, e.g.:
"Keyboard shortcuts to manipulate current tag selection from the search box"

Sven, thanks for your suggestions! They are very solid and I'll keep them in mind on implementing this feature. However can't promise they will be implemented all at once.
