Wouldn't an additional bar used just for selection overcomplicate things a bit? If it really is narrow it would be difficult to hit it with the mouse. I think ctrl or shift clicking could be more user-friendly in this regard.
However I'm not dismissing your idea: actually such a "title sidebar" could be made not so narrow, and it could come in very handy for things like task checkmarks, alarms and other note flags. Actually it has been done so a long time ago in NotesHolder (and QuotePad), which in some way inspired CN.

It also would help if you could specify whether your Win7 is 32 or 64bit. Thanks!
Andrei, thanks a lot for this information! I'm still trying to reproduce the issue and most probably there will be no changes regarding it in the 1.4 release which will come out this week. But after that I'll look at the issue more closely.

1) Which version of Windows XP do you have, 32bit or 64bit?
2) Where is CintaNotes folder located?
3) What do you mean under "checked save"? Is it the "Options/Run at System Startup" checkmark?
