1) Display same parents only once

Add "Keywords"("Remarks", "Comments") field to the notes

In many of my notes i add keywords to the first line of the text. I use them as a meaning to find notes more easy.

Example:

Title: CintaNotes - great tool for taking notes

Text:
  • Keywords: managing notes pim outlook tasks recommended by ct
  • really fast
  • simple but powerful gui

Tags: outliner software

I use tags to categorize notes. Tags have a generic meaning and can be applied to many notes. Keywords can relate to the circumstances of why i created the note. Keywords might be used for one single note only. Keywords can be different words having the same meaning.

I would like to have keywords as an extra field, that could be placed between tags and link in the note editor.

Option to start Simplenote sync after any local modifications

Add checkbox "Synchronize immediately after local modifications". When it is checked, synchronization should be started after any modifications to synchronized notes.


Changes to notes in non-synchronized sections shouldn't trigger synchronization. This sync should also reset the autosync timer.

As per the following thread, CN does not support multi-level lists without a messy workaround. This would be a nice addition.

Configurable TAB to space autoconversion

As of 1.5.1 CintaNotes retains TABs. However some users still need to autoconvert them to spaces. CN should do this on the go and not on save. Also TAB width should be configurable.

Shortcut to edit focused note while minimizing the main window

Many times i search for one single note. I find and open it. Now it takes three "Esc" to close all cintanotes windows. Over time this is just to many unnecessary klicks. I suggest to introduce "Ctrl+Enter" or F2 for opening a note window. The note window should be opened (as with normal Enter) and the search windows should be auto-closed (new functionality). Now it takes one single ESC to close the note-window when finished editing.

Mark a whole line e.g. bold with one key stroke

Until now it was possible to hit CTRL-B to mark a whole line as bold (when no character was selected). I used this feature daily to accent headlines within notes.


Unfortunately this was considered as a bug which got fixed now.


So I request to get new key combinations to set the formatting for a whole line. E.g. CTRL+SHIFT+B for bold and so on...
