Alex,

the original title of my request was "Add Ctrl-Up/Down to select the next/previous tag in the tag sidebar". What happened here?

Thomas

Hi Chris,

no need to be sorry :) There are four different requests on encrypting notes. It was my intention to open a discussion on this, so that it will be clear, at which level they are distinguishable. You made your point. Thank you for clarifying this! Imo, it is important to be able to allow discussions and to convey them. I have made the experience that this is a very constructive process in CN's community.

As for editing my request, i don't see a need for this. My request is written as an open request without interfering to other requests. It was on purpose that i added my thought on "superseding" as a separate "comment" to my request. This way it can be reckoned as an issue on its own.

With CN 2.0 powerful section implementation the suggestion offers more flexibility and (imo) supersedes the following requests http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/topic/3189-individual-note-encryption/ and http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/topic/95254-encrypted-tags/

In preparation of To-Do-Lists i suggest two enhancements:

1. In mode "titles only" add an indicator, whether the note contains a text or a title only.

2. Save the state of the view mode as a per section setting.

Occasionally i wonder, if i really need to store that many notes. Having a usage statistic to show me the number of (successful) searches would allow me to improve my use of CintaNotes. A search is successful, when i opened a note as a result of the search.

Thanx for clarifying. That's exactly what i mean.

Alex, i suggest an extended clean-up feature. Deleted notes in recycle bin should be physically deleted after a configurable period, e.g. after 30 days. This could be an option, as other users might want to keep their trash forever ;)

Alex, great to see you started implementing this feature. Just yesterday i thought how important my data is and how easy it can be deleted accidentally. Recycle Bin will be a great security feature to me.
