Combine "Insert Link" (URL, Note, file) functionality

I suggest to have one menu item and one shortcut only to insert a link. This is more easy to remember, rather than having three different items. When the user ask's to insert a link, a pop up should ask the user about the link type. Actually CintaNotes might be able, to recognize the type itself, e.g. http:// for an URL link

Both Dr.XYZ and Kyra Dune can also keep track of personal pursuits, including baseball, basketball, kids-related etc. If Kyra adds those as Sections. Because these are personal notebooks.

Then Kyra can track:

Plain Text Clipping

CN currently cannot correctly handle certain websites and browsers which provide text in RTF format (eg IE). Request an option in CN to only ever accept plain text clipping to workaround this problem.

CintaNotes used to have an option to disable text formatting, but not any more. When you're keeping code samples and commands that sometimes integrate HTML, extra formatting only stands in the way.
Please introduce an option to automatically strip any text formatting upon clipping and pasting.

Retain search results after editing a note

Currently (2.8), if you search a term, and edit one of the results, then click "Ok", you get sent back to Cintanotes, but now the search term is gone, as well as the search results. Now you have to type the search term again. This request is for the search term, along with the search results to be retained after editing a note.

Ability to make a CN note-window narrower

I want to be able to have a note open on one side of the screen for occasional reference. Currently it takes up much more space than necessary for this. (Oddly, I can make the main window narrower than note window, but I'd like to be able to make the note window even narrower!)

I'd like to copy note title and text, but not the dates and link.

Option to reset tag and search-text-filter on new search

Introduce an option to the setting-file "clear on search as you type" (same as clear on Ctrl+F, but used when automatic searching is used). In other words, always reset any existing filter, when a new search starts. Right now, tags don't get reset, only text does. Clear on Ctrl+F is great, but always clearing would be even better.

Provide export of notes to native JSON format. JSON is the data/object-format of the web. Having native support, in addition to the existing XML export, supports integration into web-systems more easily.

Add support to custom asynchronous pluggable protocols in note body.

For example:

mp://c:\somefile.txt


mp = my custom protocol


So I can open the file where I want.

Now it's work in link field and it's great!

Remove need to hit Ctrl+F12 in order to speed up clipping. Can end up clipping inadvertently, so it should be easy to turn on/off.

Toggling format options does not affect text, which gets typed afterwards, e.g. Ctrl+U. This does not conform to standard behaviour. Also check this Former bug report

To support a very simple way of creating/editing table-like-data support smart tabs. When the user presses the TAB key insert spaces to set the caret to the next non-whitespace column in regards to the previous row.
